ACTIVITY REPORT OF SEVEn, THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY CENTER

We present to you the Activity Report 2010 of SEVEn, o.p.s. (The Energy Efficiency Center), a non-profit organisation.

Last year, SEVEn celebrated its 20th anniversary. We were able to implement specific energy efficient examples into practice – from large office and residential buildings to electrical appliances and light sources; from technical assessment of particular technologies to conceptual work of international importance.

In 2010, just like in the 20 preceding years, SEVEn managed to carry out a number of projects that brought positive impacts not only to their owners and operators but also to society as a whole – in the Czech Republic and also in the international context.

In 2010, SEVEn carried out projects in following areas:
– Organization of Energy Performance Contracting tenders
– Preparation of documents for subsidy projects (mainly from the Operational Programme Environment)
– Specific assessment and energy-saving projects in the area of lighting, low-energy buildings and/or renewable energy source potential for particular investment projects

SEVEn also provided a series of educational and informational activities in the form of seminars, publications and media presentations, as well as through assessment of Czech or foreign legislation pertaining to energy consumption in buildings, insulation, heating and electrical appliances.

With regard to the fact that this report is released on the 20th anniversary of SEVEn’s establishment, we have decided to include not only projects carried out in 2010 but also selected signifi cant projects that have been carried out over the past 20 years.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to all those interested in more effi cient use of energy for their activities and for their interest in lowering the energy demand within their buildings, technologies and businesses.

We look forward to further cooperation both in 2011 and over the next 20 years!
