A multi-year project supported by the European Commission aiming to actively promote the introduction
of (natural) gas as an alternative transport fuel in selected regions of the countries participating in the project (e.g., Sweden, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Great Britain, etc.).

In the second year of the project, analytic tasks surveying the current situation in the regions of interest,
i.e., Prague and the South Bohemia Region in the Czech Republic, have been completed and further development strategy has been defined. The strategy focuses on the use of biogas, which as a number of advantages compared to natural as, as well as to other alternative motor fuels, such as bioethanol or biodiesel. In 2009, the activities
should aim at removing technical and legislative arriers and initiating one or more specific projects.
