Update to the energy concept in South Bohemia

During the process of updating the energy concept, SEVEn analyzed the potential of using biomass as an energy supply in the South Bohemia region. The output of the updates concentrated on so-called energy action plans of the SB region.
1. Safe and reliable energy distribution for all SB region residents,
2. Protecting the environment against negative impacts related to the production of fuels and energy in the SB region,
3. Efficient energy use aimed at minimizing energy distribution costs.
Biogas station Třeboň

The project involves constructing a biogas station using agricultural products of herbal and animal origin to produce biogas that will then be used to generate electric and thermal energy for the city of Třeboň. A specific feature of the project includes separating the biogas resource, i.e. a biogas station, from the point of its final energy utilisation - the KVET biogas station. The biogas station is situated outside the city area on the premises of its resources production and the biogas cogeneration station will be located close to the thermal consumption point, i.e.
Progress (Promotion and Growth of Renewable Energy Sources and Systems)

The purpose of PROGRESS (Promotion and Growth of Renewable Energy Sources and Systems) is to provide the European Commission with the analytical inputs of renewable resources in the EU Member States.
The Commission will use these materials to monitor the degree of achievement
IES DH Izhevsk

This study was produced for the Russian company KES (Kompleksnyje energetičeskije systěmy) that is a majority owner of the CZT system in the Russian city of Iževsk, with approximately 600 thousand citizens. SEVEn was a member of an international team directed by the company euc – Dr. Bernd Kalkum. The purpose of the study was to analyze the current status of resources and distribution networks and to draft an investment plan and measures to increase operational effi ciency. It also included the estimated thermal consumption course of new consumers and reducing current consumption.
Serbia III – Tender

The company SEVEn participated in an international team of experts in preparing a tender launched by the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) involving a project for modifying the CZT system in five Serbian cities (Čačak, Pančevo, Subotica, Užice and Valjevo). In particular this included a detail specification of the scope of individual measures, preparing technical criteria and the criteria for the technical evaluation of proposals as well as participating in the evaluating team.
Analysis on the implementation of the energy performance of buildings directive

SEVEn analyzed the implementation of the energy performance of buildings directive and its introduction in terms of Czech legislature. The analysis, which included a short questionnaire project on this topic, serves as groundwork for comparing the methods of evaluating the energy performance of buildings in selected EU countries for the German agency ARGE Energieausweise Mitteleuropa. The output of the project is included in the groundwork for legislative amendments in the energy intensity sector in Germany.
CEECAP

Why are household appliances labelled, what exactly does European legislation require, how is its fulfilment controlled and why is it a good idea to use energy labelling in promoting and selling electrical appliances? These, and other questions concerning customer awareness of the energy aspects of operating household appliances, are answered in two newly issued publications, focussed on government institutions and controlling authorities, and on the manufacturers and retailers of electrical appliances.
Energy Master Plan Action Plan for the City of Prague
The EMP action plan for the City of Prague should elaborate in detail the specific steps and measures that should be adopted in the year 2007 to 2010 for the purpose of fulfilling the objectives and conclusions arising from the Energy Master Plan (EMP) valid for the years 2004 to 2022. The action plan is determined to support measures that will contribute to the reliable and economic supplying and handling of fuels and energy in compliance with the city’s sustainable development. Primarily in the area and facilities owned by the city according to the motto “Prague as an Example”.
New GreenLight

In 2000, the European Commission initiated the European GreenLight programme, the objective of which is to promote and support energy efficient lighting in the area of services, industry and public lighting. The programme associates partners that have quality but energy efficient lighting on their premises. Since 2006, SEVEn is the coordinator of the New GreenLight project, organising and promoting this project within the framework of eight countries in Central and Eastern Europe, with support of the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme.
