The EMP action plan for the City of Prague should elaborate in detail the specific steps and measures that should be adopted in the year 2007 to 2010 for the purpose of fulfilling the objectives and conclusions arising from the Energy Master Plan (EMP) valid for the years 2004 to 2022. The action plan is determined to support measures that will contribute to the reliable and economic supplying and handling of fuels and energy in compliance with the city’s sustainable development. Primarily in the area and facilities owned by the city according to the motto “Prague as an Example”.

The motive for creating the project was to follow up on the previously processed study estimating the production of various waste of organic origin in the South Bohemian Region, and in specific time and spatial conditions to assess in detail their suitability as sources of renewable energy and valuable mineral substances.
