Energy audits were conducted in relation to the project “Making the Hospitals of the South Bohemian Region Ecological.” In 2006, an application to the EU Structural Funds was processed for this project, with an expected share of subsidy resources in excess of 70 % of the invested sum. In all the solved compounds, the following measures are essentially in question: minimizing steam distribution, completion of new heat distributors, modification of the central hot utility water heating and completion of hot utility water distribution lines, installation of modern condensation technologies for natural gas combustion, installation of thermostatic regulation valves, basic hydronic regulation of heating systems, other (modification of distributors, insulation), thermal and overall sanitation of the hospital buildings and reconstruction of ventilation units.
