The aim of the RESHAPE international project was to support the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive into general practice and, in particular, social housing developpment. Partners from Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, the Netherlands, Spain and the Czech Republic participated in the project. The project revealed differences in the method of implementing the EPBD into the national legislation and the evaluation methods. The results achieved corresponded to the nature of the individual countries. Belgium and the Netherlands prepared a unified database of typified houses to be used for planning the maintenance and refurbishment of social housing. Bulgaria, Estonia and Spain created software for evaluating buildings according the EPBD methods. The Czech Republic produced the handbook „Savings in prefabricated house and how to deal with them?“ for the management of housing cooperatives and SVJ. The handbook outlines the entire process of refurbishment and implementing it. The conclusion includes two model examples that can be used for all associations.
