Determination of reference values for energy systems in buildings

Determination of reference values for energy systems in buildings

In order to correct and specify some of the inputs to the evaluation of the energy performance of buildings (EPB), SEVEn’s research team, initiated by the MIT, defined the new values of so-called guideline numbers for the area of technical building equipment (TBE). The guideline numbers are essentially reference parameters of the efficiency and energy consumption of different types of TBE ( from heat sources through lighting to ventilation and air conditioning), which were as input variables in the model calculations of EPB, if the specific values of a given project are unknown. The outputs of this project should be reflected in the intended amendment to Decree No. 148/2007 Coll., on the energy performance of buildings, which currently lists some of this data (incorrectly).

ESIB (Energy Saving Initiative in Buildings Sector) – project for Europe Aid in INOGATE countries

SEVEn is a member of consortium lead by SOFRECO which runs the project aiming at removing barriers for unlocking Energy Efficiency potential in buildings in INOGATE countries (Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan). SEVEn works on the issues of financial mechanisms, advisory on setting up homeowners associations (HOAs), certification of buildings and energy labelling of electrical products, develops expert publications and organizes expert meetings and provides in-country advisory.

Promotion of the energy policy implementation in Belarus (EU-EuropeAid project)

Promotion of the energy policy implementation in Belarus (EU-EuropeAid project)

In cooperation with the German agency KEMA Consulting GmbH and Belarusian experts, SEVEn is analyzing the existing European legislation and regulations of selected EU member states and assisting in finding ways to effectively implement appropriate knowledge of these documents in the legislation of the Republic of Belarus. This collaboration is a part of the European Commission project titled “Support to the Implementation of a Comprehensive Energy Policy of the Republic of Belarus”. The goal is to compare the approaches of the EU and Belarus and, based on experience, to propose appropriate solutions for the implementation of legislation on energy efficiency in buildings in Belarus. Further, website with relevant documents and comparison of situations in energy efficiency in buildings in EU and Belarus was done. The essential regulation is the European Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD II).

ENTRANZE - Policies to ENforce the TRAnsition to Nearly Zero-Energy buildings in Europe

ENTRANZE - Policies to ENforce the TRAnsition to Nearly Zero-Energy buildings in Europe

The objective of the ENTRANZE project is to actively support policy making by providing the required data, analysis and guidelines to achieve a fast and strong penetration of nZEB and RES-H/C within the existing national building stocks. The project intends to connect building experts from European research and academia to national decision makers and key stakeholders with a view to build ambitious, but reality proof, policies and roadmaps. The project focuses on nine countries (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Romania, Spain), covering >60% of the EU-27 building stock. Data, scenarios and recommendations will also be provided for EU-27 (+ Croatia and Serbia).

Projekt BUILD UP Skills Czech Republic

Projekt BUILD UP Skills Czech Republic

The BUILD UP project is aimed at mapping the current state of energy demands and subsequently designing a sustainable education system for implementing energy-efficient buildings. In the context of the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBDII), the requirements on construction quality are increasing. The project is helping to ensure an increase in the qualifications of workers in the relevant professions, managers and supervisors. http://www.build-up.cz/
