Literature review - Evaluation of the Energy Labelling Directive and specific aspects of the Ecodesign Directive

The aim of this evaluation study was to compile, analyse and provide the European Commission with all the information required for the review process and the possible revision of the Energy label and Ecodesign directives to the extent this is justified. In addition to this, the evaluation has identified options and provided recommendations for the improvement of the current legal framework and its application by the national authorities and industry. These recommendations have been also supported by an analysis of the most relevant arguments for and against identified options. Elaborated by a team of consultants, lead by Ecofys, with a participation of SEVEn.
