Date of the event:    25.1.2018 14:28

Prague – A national EPC+ project seminar on the topic of innovative business models in energy savings projects was held in Prague on 25 January 2018 under the auspices of SEVEn. The national seminar was connected with the information day for energy performance contracting projects organised by ENVIROS, which presented a series of successful examples of EPC in practice. The combined events facilitated the exchange of experiences between two related projects in the area of energy services financed by the European programme Horizon 2020.

You can download the presentations from both parts of the seminar here. For more information, please go to the project website: http://czech.epcplus.org/.

The results of the three-year EPC+ project were briefly presented by Tomáš Voříšek, the representative of the Czech partner. This was followed by a presentation of several types of successfully implemented innovative models of energy services in the area of modernisation of heat supply systems, specifically one urban, two industrial and one involving laundry operations.

The goal of the "Energy Performance Contracting Plus" (EPC+) project is to lower the transaction costs of implementing energy services with the aim of supporting the implementation of projects by small and medium enterprises (SME) also on the level of small-scale investments. This can be achieved via the standardisation of technical solutions and contractual matters in energy services. The outputs of the EPC+ project include:

  • Creation of standardised commercial bundles of energy services for SME in each participating country for individual energy savings sectors.
  • Creation of structured cooperating SME companies – so-called groupings (SPIN). This grouping implements around 20 pilot projects in all countries involved.
  • Seminars and educational materials in technical, financial and contractual questions of EPC for SPIN members and other market participants.

National and European communication and educational campaigns, reaching more than 5,000 professionals and 15,000 clients.
