StreamSAVE+

General project objectives

The streamSAVE+, Streamlining Energy Savings Calculations in the EU Member States + project has the objective to address the gap between trends in energy savings of the Member States and the goals of Article 8 of EED by assisting public authorities in the development of new policies and harmonisation of energy savings calculations across the MS. More specifically, streamSAVE+ will build capacity through the development of an open dialogue that will focus on streamlining calculation methodologies to estimate bottom-up savings and to assess cost effectiveness of technical energy savings actions. The project will target actions with high energy saving potential considered as a priority issue by national public authorities.

Upcoming dialogue meetings

Dialogue meeting 2: Assessing energy savings from water conservation measures

Previous dialogue meetings

Dialogue meeting 1: Assessing energy savings from deep retrofit programmes

Key outputs and KPIs

Key outputs of the project include:

  • An expanded and improved online platform offering tools, case studies, and methodologies for streamlined energy savings calculations.
  • Capacity-building support for public authorities, including workshops and peer-to-peer dialogues.
  • Policy recommendations tailored to help Member States improve their energy efficiency reporting and compliance with EED obligations.

Key performance indicators include:

  • Developing bottom-up calculation methodologies for 5 new priority actions, building on the existing 10 priority action from the completed streamSAVE project.
  • Engaging over 150 key stakeholder organizations across the EU.
  • streamSAVE+ platform users from all 27 member states.
  • Organizing 20 workshops and dialogue sessions.
